Homemade Masala Oats
Natural ingredients and aromatic spices that are freshly made to make delicious and spicy dishes appeal to the Indian palette. But, everything that is appetizing, might not be healthy. Here is a quick, savoury recipe that is quick, healthy and delicious. You can have it in your breakfast, or as a evening snack.
- 1/2 cup Oats
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (carrot, beans, peas)
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 inch Ginger, chopped
- 1 Green Chilli, chopped
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
Dry roast some rolled oats in a pan till they are golden brown.
Next, heat some oil in a skillet, then add the ginger and green chilis and cook for 2 seconds.
Now, add the chopped onions and saute for a minute.
Add the chopped vegetables, salt, water and bring it to a boil.
Now add the oats, garam masala, turmeric powder and lemon juice.
Cook and cover, till the vegetables are cooked.
